The passage of time is seemingly certain.  On the other hand, much that comes alongside such is an uncertain mixture of more ingredients than any mortal could list...  And I believe it is that amalgam that compels this update, as today is the 1-year mark of the accident involving Campbell and his friends.  The emotions are still very picqued.  At the forefront is overwhelming gratitude for Campbell's recovery and continued good health.  Alongside is the same sentiment for all those who journeyed with us last year during this unsettling season.  The memories we now cherish and share of friends and community coming together changed us immensely - - and so much for the better.    And as we made our way to Athens, GA today (where Campbell currently resides), an overwhelming sense of appreciation for all of the life-changing prayers and gestures we experienced during Campbell's recovery, homecoming and rehabilitation came over us.  The impact of such kindness and compassion is no less profound today than it was then...  Please know that as our family shared a meal, recounted the pain and progress and prayed together, you were with us.

Just as importantly, sadness for the loss of our friend, Sydnie Grace Jones, still marks each day.  And though we embrace her salvation and continue to give thanks for her impact in our lives and our community, we hesitate not to ask for your continued prayers for each of her family members and friends during this time of year.  Your collective presence in the lives of each family involved is more impactful than you may ever know or realize...

We, too, pray for all of you.  And we think of you often.  If there is ever such a thing as a huge digital hug, it is now on the edge of these fingers, tapping out this message and coming your way.
