Welcome to Callie’s Corner website.
Callie was admitted to Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse on November 7th 2023, at 3 weeks old, after we discovered her platelet levels were at a dangerously and critically low level. On Sunday Nov 12th a brain bleed was discovered and we were immediately transferred to the UW Madison- American Family Children’s Hosptial (AFCH). Please see the journal entries to follow her story.

Callie Rae Tweten was born on Oct 14th, 2023. Her parents are Tyler and Nicole (Baumler)Tweten and her big brother is Tade.

We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for following along! #Calliescorner

Newest Update

Journal entry by Nicole Tweten

We are completely blown away by all the love and support we have received through Callie’s whole journey, especially at the visation, funeral and benefit.  Tyler and I can’t even begin to express how we feel. The community we live in is truly amazing. Please know we are forever grateful for every act of generosity, support and every prayer said for our family and Callie. We truly cannot say thank you enough.

We miss Callie beyond words and would do anything to have her back. Since she won’t be with us on this earth, we want to always remember and honor her. This will be our last caringbridge post, but it won’t be the end of Callie’s legacy.

Callie has been showing us little signs already that she is okay in heaven. A couple instances are on Saturday it had been a cloudy day and just as the ATV’s were leaving Mabel for her benefit ride the sun came out and shinned bright. Also, every single raffle ticket that was drawn out as a winning ticket was the color purple out of 5 color options.

We truly know Callie is looking down on all of us from heaven and giving one of her sweet smiles.

Thank you again to each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you, The Tweten’s- Tyler, Nicole, Tade and our angel Callie
