Today is the day…we are busting outta this place! While the care we have received here has been unforgettable and amazing, we are going home! If I have to be honest, while I am excited for all things home, I’d be lying if I said this step is not evoking extreme anxiety. This is the first time in Callan’s life he won’t have machines monitoring his every breath, heartbeat, and move. I need to keep telling myself that every provider we have talked to said he is more than ready…that’s what the machines are telling us 😉 For at least the next 6 weeks, we will be staying close to home and letting Callan acclimate and stay as healthy as possible. Thank you all for your continued calls, texts, emails and gifts. We feel so grateful that Callan has so many people in his corner now and in his future. While this journey is ending, another journey will begin. 💙
