Destiny and Cameron had noticed that Caleb’s right eye and the right side of his face were not working correctly and appeared to be bulging. On Wednesday June 22 Caleb was seen by a provider in Staples. They did a CT scan and noticed a large tumor behind his eye.  Caleb was sent via ambulance to Children’s in Minneapolis where he remains in the ICU. He will have a biopsy of the tumor today. Please send prayers for the family and for Caleb . We will try to update everyone as much as possible.

Updated story:
Caleb's Neuroblastoma diagnosis June 25th
-High risk, very aggressive
-Cure Possible with extensive treatment, including Chemo, surgery, transplant, targeted radiation, and antibody therapy. Looking at one year worth of treatments.

-Primary cancer tumor is on his Adrenal gland, with other spots as well through out his entire body. Large tumor in his skull behind right eye, left eye socket, top of skull, chest, spine, sternum, arms legs, pelvis and liver. Pretty much has spread through out his entire body.

-Chemo will help the best for treatment, we should see the best results from that, other treatments will be a plus.

-Also the tumor behind his right eye is crushing his optic nerve, we are hoping with work we can get it back.
EDIT: Caleb did sadly lose vision in his right eye.

Newest Update

Journal entry by Destiny Shivers

Caleb had a great week home! We've been super busy with PT and OT and enjoying the weather when we can! We did a count check toward the end of the week and everything looked okay and hopefully on the way up. He is doing much better recovering this time! We are going to enjoy another week home and go back next Monday for another round of treatment! We will meet with his oncologist Monday morning before being admitted just to ensure everything checks out to start another round of treatment.
