Cade made it out on Saturday night. The MRI showed his shunt is in a good spot and he perked up just enough to thwart the discharge police.

We have a phone call with the neurosurgeon on Thursday to report on his condition at home, and so far he has been a bit up and down. His speech is on fire - he repeats entire phrases that aren't even directed at him. (have to be careful now when swearing at home appliances or stubbing toes). But his eating is still a major challenge. No sleep and plenty of dirty linens and discomfort. He is also back on oxygen for bedtime.
