Bud’s Story

Site created on May 16, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

On Saturday,  May 15, Bud was admitted to the Emergency Room at Borgess Hospital with symptoms consistent with a stroke.  I commend the staff at Heritage Community, Amber Way, for picking up on his symptoms so quickly and taking action quickly.

At the hospital his symptoms seemed to have resolved and he scored very well on the neurology test for a stroke. When he returned from the C T scan, the facial symptoms returned and the Neurology Team flew into action. Again, he scored well on the tests and the CT results were inconclusive, requiring an admission for observations and more tests.

Stay tuned; between Donna and Pam, we will try to keep you all informed.

Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Pam Moseley

Ron, Jan and April were here for 3 days.  Dad enjoyed their visit and told lots of old stories.  It was good to see him happy and animated again.  Mom continues her journey, some small changes every day.  She is not in pain and resting.   Dad seems to be struggling with the reality of it all. He desperately wants to find a doctor who can fix this.  Donna and I are sitting with her during the days. Dad keeps telling her he loves her and "don't forget,  you are my sweetheart. "
