Bruce’s Story

Site created on December 14, 2019

Dad's health has been in decline for a long time.   Starting with back problems, spreading to hips, knees and other joints, which has severely limited his mobility in the last few years.  Add to that a problem heart, having had multiple surgeries and stints over the last 20 years.  He was most recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure, and was managing it pretty well with medication and a no salt diet.

Last week he went into Abbott for shortness of breath and was admitted into the ICU.  His heart is failing along with his kidneys. There is nothing more the Doctors can do for him, and we have moved him into end-of-life care.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as we spend as much time as possible with our husband/dad/grandpa in the coming days/weeks.

Journal entry by Stephanie Peterson

Bruce Robert Peterson was laid to rest yesterday, December 27th.  The family would like to extend a thank you to all those who left messages on this site, called, sent text messages and had the family in your prayers.  A special thank you to those who attended the visitation, funeral, brought over food, sent cards, sent flowers, gave money or gave "in memorandum" donations.  It is all very much appreciated by Becky and the family.  Please continue to keep the family in your prayers as we return to a "new" normal.  Love to all of you.
