Journal entry by Laurie Dysthe

Last week Bruce got some awesome news.  He was declared cancer-free.  Hallelujah!  Prayers answered!  He completed his six chemo treatments and three spinal injections.  Several weeks after his final treatment, he had a PET scan that showed the cancer is gone.

The chemo had some unfavorable side effects.  It left him tired and weak with no appetite. Another side effect he developed is neuropathy in his right hand and foot.  He’s slowly getting some energy back, but has been told the neuropathy needs time to hopefully heal.

He continues to exercise/rehab in Sioux Falls several times a week and is now able to ride his new bike around Beaver Creek.  He and Pat wanted to again thank everyone for all of the kindness sent their way during this journey.
