Newest Update

Journal entry by Audrey Dyck

Hi I thought maybe I should just update you a bit on how Dad is doing.
He is doing well. He is improving daily even though he doesn’t notice it. On the surface he looks good except that his clothes are too big( he’s a little proud of that fact) 😀the doctor told him, when he was in the hospital the last time, that the recovery time for how he was is 4-6 weeks. And dad is at the 4 week mark.  The thing that is the biggest problem is his mental part of it. This has definitely caused him to be more anxious and uptight,  etc. And he worries about night time a lot and whether he’ll be able to sleep and such. ( you know how life looks when you can’t sleep right). That is something we are working through and trying to stay positive for him.

He sits in his chair and figures out all the things that need to be done. His latest is the lawn.  So today he was out with the little tiller trying to get it ready. And he is adapting to his smartphone quite well.  ( we keep our fingers crossed) course he doesn’t mess with WhatsApp, but at least he can check that weather and call across the conference.
Thanks again for all the support and prayers in the past. We just thank God for the progress and continue to ask him to keep Dad upbeat and help him notice that he IS getting better😀 if he hears of anyone who gets the covid or has it ,boy, he surely prays for them.
