Brooks’s Story

Site created on January 3, 2019

In late November 2018, we began to notice that Brooks’ was having more issues with falling and some potty accidents, which can be indicative of a tumor. In early December, we got an MRI on Brooks’ spine which revealed a mass on his spinal chord in the middle of his back.  Throughout 2019 he underwent chemo to halt it's progress. In November of 2021 it began growing so he began an oral chemo. In March 2022, it aggressively grew so he had two surgeries to debulk/remove the tumor. Testing after these surgeries revealed the tumor had mutated to be an aggressive (high grade) glioma.

I have had a few people ask me if there is a recording of Brooks' memorial service a couple weeks ago, so below you will find a link to the recording. Thank you so much for all your continued love, support, and prayers.
