Brooks Henderson Beeler was born on December 19th, 2022 to Jaclyn and Katherine Beeler. He departed this life on February 4th, 2023. Brooks faced a serious Congenital Heart Defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, with resilience that inspired all who knew his story. He loved his mobile, cuddling with his stuffed fox, and making those caring for him laugh with the cutest yet pervasive little side eye. He was comforted by head rubs, listening to music, and holding on to the fingers of loved ones at his bedside. His story impacted so many in the short time he was with us, and he brought a multitude of people together in prayer and love. He had a heart that didn't work in the conventional way, but was big enough to spread love with every beat. Brooks received compassionate and loving care from the wonderful medical professionals that became family in the PCICU at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jackie Beeler and his cousin Cate Beeler. He is survived by his parents, Jaclyn and Katherine Beeler; his siblings, Sirah, McKenzie, and Bentley; his grandparents, Allen and Ann Henderson and Mary Beth Beeler; his many wonderful aunts and uncles, Tim, Ashley, Sara, Caroline, Elizabeth, Ishaan, and Clark; and his cousins, Drew, Miles, and Carli.

A graveside service will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, located at 219 S Gallaher View Rd Knoxville, TN 37917, on Wednesday, February 15th at 12:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Margaret’s Closet in memory of Brooks. Margaret’s Closet seeks to support and comfort families and patients in the PCICU at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt by providing them with clothing, blankets, toys, and comfort items. Financial contributions can be sent by check payable to Margaret Martin.
