Brock is doing awesome!!!  He has done a little bit of trout fishing, putting some golf balls, hanging with friends, watching his buddies play baseball, and being the Brock we all love...just to name a few.  On the 12th of June, Brock went in for the procedure to take out at least one of the two drain tubes.  In typical Brock fashion, both tubes were removed as the doctors said everything looked great.  This last week he had a couple appointments.  Brock met with his GI doctor and the nutritionist.  He has been occasionally feeling nauseous and getting sick around dinner time.  The doctors said this was common as his body continues to heal and could be like this for a couple months.  The nutritionist would like to have Brock gain some more weight and have gave him a list of high calorie foods that will help.  I'm pretty confident he's not complaining.  During this appointment, the doctors asked him how he was feeling on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.  Brock's reply was "7".  Trish and the doctors were a bit perplexed due to how great his recovery is going and how has been progressing.  Why?  His reply was "Well, I can't do what I want to do.  I want to shoot hoops, play baseball, and do the things my friends are doing."  A bit of perspective from an 11 year old that wants to do what 11 year old's do.  Brock will be having PT this week and also meeting with sports med to improve his strength.  With today being Father's Day, it gives myself, along with Digger and others, a bit of a different perspective.  Not sure there is a better title than be called "dad".  The journey the last seven(7) weeks has brought it's ups and downs.  But, it makes me realize that fatherhood is something we can't take for granted.  Happy Father's Day to all the dad's with us and the one's that are in heaven.  Brock will continue to improve and we'll keep you updated along the way.  Thank you all for the prayers and support.
