Journal

Where do I start? 6 weeks ago I was under the knife and lights for 6 hours. I left the OR without my birth bladder, 30 lymph nodes and without Urethral Carcinoma!!

It's been quiet the roller coster. The Neobladder bladder - new bladder - has been wonderful. It's not perfect yet, however it's early. The toughest part is getting my GI system back on track.  Now, I'm going to talk about poop so if that is too much for you move to the next paragraph. Ok. I never was constipated. Once I started, it was not stopping! It made it hard to leave the house and my stomach was in constant pain. I was shitting like I ate raw chicken.Anywho. I did have C Diff Toxin, which resolved and I had a short lived feeling great week. Then, I was able to eat my normal diet. (No alcohol involved) Well, my stomach was like WOW! And again I felt like shit again.

I have been eating a very restricted diet. I am eating low fat and low sugar. It has changed how I feel tremendously. Of course I have cheated...the salty, cheesy foods always get me. I have been feeling much better the last few days. I hope it continues.

I will be closely watched the rest of my life from Urology as Urothelial Carcinoma is a sneaky, little bitch. I have been back to Rochester multiple times. My next visit is scheduled in May.

My goal this week is to get out of the house daily, visiting friends! I also start PT Friday for my core! I need to get back on my head this summer. 🤗My goal for 3 weeks is to get back to work. In order to do that I need to be able to keep moving with no nap, be pleasant and not be in pain.

Anywho F cancer. Keep sending all the good vibes my way and all people fighting. Early onset cancer has been the buzz with Kate Middleton announcing she is undergoing treatment. It shouldn't be!
