We wanted to share an update on Mom's battle with pancreatic cancer. Several months ago, Mom moved to Baton Rouge with Dad, and little Bridget. This has been a blessing for those of us in Baton Rouge, as it has allowed us to spend lots of quality time together as a family. We especially felt blessed to share Christmas together and celebrate vigil mass on Christmas eve together!
Mom continues her regimen of chemo treatment every 2 weeks here in Baton Rouge, recently transitioning to a different chemo that she appears to be handling well. While there have been many ups and downs over the past year, Mom has proven to be a fighter (to nobody's surprise). She still heads over to Houston every couple of months for regular scans and appointments at MD Anderson, which continue to show relative stability in the condition of the tumor. One of the two trips was actually facilitated by an amazing charity, Pilots for Patients based out of Monroe, LA, which flew her over to Houston on a private plane so she doesn't have to deal with the schedules and crowds of the regular airports. What a blessing!
We remain grateful for all of this time we have with Mom and the entire family, and thank God for each day together. Your prayers remain our crutch during the difficult times, and we thank God to have all of you in our lives.
A $25 donation powers a page like Bridget's for two weeks.
If you donate by May 12, your gift will be doubled, up to $10,000, thanks to a gift from Living Water Foundation.
