I spoke with staff person Chris at his group home today and Brian's nurse had just left. He has no residual weakness on his right side, is navigating the layout of the home very well and even is using the stairs under supervision but without assistance.

Brian likes to sit on the floor to watch TV and gets up and down without assistance.

All of this is great news! When I talked to him, he was extremely disappointed I wasn't Maureen, since Chris handed him the phone and said it was his sister, and had no trouble letting me know he never received my card when I asked him. His speech is just as good as before the stroke. I guess I'm on the hunt for another space-themed get well card.

He did get his Steelers mask and sounded delighted. Thank you Nancy!!
