Brian’s Story

Site created on February 15, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Brian and I went out to dinner Thursday night and everything was fine. Early Friday morning he woke up around 3am and couldn't breathe. So off to the ER at Northside, around 4 we were told they suspected he had had a heart attack and were going to run heart tests.  These tests showed that he did have heart disease and so they transferred him to Emory Saint Josephs. When he arrived he continued to struggle breathing until it became so bad that they put him on a ventilator.  He continued to decline all day saturday and sunday.  The diagnosis changed from heart attack to some type of lung infection- possibly pnemonia or covid.  A test was sent out with a sample from his lung on Tuesday to try and figure out what was causing him to be so sick. Now it is just a waiting game.
