Journal entry by Amanda Palmer

Sorry it’s been so long but we have been adjusting. Brian is still working on his therapy. He has good days and bad days but when he has good days they are amazing. According to the neurologist Dr. Thorell this is “normal” for Brian. I have seen the way Brian lights up and engages in conversation and seems to be really alert when his family and friends come to see him lately. So if anyone would like to come see him you are welcome. But please keep in mind if you come to see him on a bad” day don’t take it personal. You can always come over again and it might be different. I wish I could tell you when those bad days are but unfortunately I don’t even know.
Brian is working on some goals he has set for his self. He wants to be able to transfer from his chair to the couch without the sit to stand. So to be able to do this he has to be able to stand and pivot with some assistance. Also he would like to get rid of the G-tube. To do this he has to be able to swallow his medication. He has a goal date of September 1st. With encouragement and reminders of his goals I know he can reach his goals.
Thanks again for all your love and support #palmerstrong
