Journal entry by Tina Lacasse

We just got back to see Brianlast night and had a great visit! He makes J and I feel so appreciated as we are appreciating him and the life that he has hung onto, being the strongest fighter to the biggest challenge anyone would face!  We positioned him and I massaged and lotioned his legs and feet. He said it was the most comfortable he has felt in days! He had the bandage off his “nub” off and it looked great. He was so proud to show us how he could minipulate his foot to move by thought only!!! Huge improvement!!!  He did it more during the day but where it was late, he was exhausted. He went for a stroll in his wheel chair through the floors and he felt how he touched so many hearts, so  evident by the multiple, “hi Bri! ~Hi Brian! ~ Hey look at you go!~ all right Brian, ya!!!!” Shout outs to him! Brian was in great spirits and he was talking about working out his upper body strength and using his trapeze above his head, attached to his bed, to personally adjust his position in bed. His pneumonia has cleared, however he still needs to keep working at clearing more of the fluid out of his one lung,  being faithful to his nebulizer. He said he must have used it 1000 times today. Lol. His room is getting festive with pics of the family and Kayson but we will be taking them off the walls in 2-3 weeks. He will be coming home!  We have a lot of work to prepare for Brian’s homecoming. He has already been orchestrating his layout of the new space he will be living in. He had a great visit with Amy and mom all yesterday and the night before and he is very eager to having his first time with finally being with his Grandson!!! Hopefully it will be this Friday with Tiarah and Keith. Today we will hang with him and he will also be visiting with Chad and Bridget. If you want to come say hello, please do. He would love a visit from you too!!

We also will look forward to having a meeting, with the team at the hospital, to discuss what his needs will be with moving into his new way of living! If anyone would have time to be on a “call list” to help out with any of the demolition of walls and renovations of Brian’s new ♿️roomy, assessable living space, please let me now here or thru my messenger!!  . Any little bit of help will be incredible, thankful, and beyond appreciated👊🏼❤️💪🏻❤️👊🏼
So 🔜we are approaching the homestretch..... whoop whoop. Let’s Go!!!!!!!!
