Welcome to our CaringBridge website. This is Sheila Bolmeier, Brian's sister, starting this site. 


We want to use it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  Lynn has been trying so hard to keep all of those that care so much and love Brian updated....but this will help her! She, Conor, and Reagan SO appreciate all those that have reached out to offer support and words of hope and encouragement.  They know there are so many people that care deeply about them and Brian's recovery.  Nothing would make us happier than to have this site be a short lived necessity, but we suspect that Brian has a long road of recovery ahead.


Brian was participating in a charity motorcycle ride on Saturday, June 19th when he had an accident.  Unfortunately - one of his injuries was a brain bleed.  He had emergency surgery at Overland Park Regional Medical Center that saved his life.  He is getting excellent care there and we pray that he will fully recover from this brain injury.

Two years.
 2 years ago today was Brian’s accident. Crazy to think about.  He’s come so far in those 2 years!  
A lot has happened since I posted last. He has started new therapy sessions and is busy 3 days a week with those. So thankful for different insurance and that it’s working out well. 
I work 3 days a week and again thankful  he is fine being at home and fending for himself. 😉Thank you for the friends and family who visit. 
Come on by!!  He would love to hear from you!
Specific prayers would be for him to continue to being open to his therapy sessions and to stay healthy!
