Journal entry by Jenna Davis —
Bri’s week was spent working on healing after her surgeries. With the surgeries comes pain, which Bri continues to manage. She is working on her goal of being able to eat orally. There is a possibility of another grafting surgery for her abdomen this week, but the day is not set yet. Bri has had lots of visitors, which she enjoys. She has some pretty amazing friends and family. She loves getting to see Andy, Gavin, and Xander. It makes her week!
I would like to thank everyone for all of the support through this journey. From the calls, messages, prayers, the donations, and attending the benefits. Everything is greatly appreciated! Our family is overwhelmed with the kindness and love everyone has shown. It gives us such joy to see how many lives Bri has touched. I have always looked up to her and she has been the best big sister that I could ever ask for. Through this journey that none of us could have ever imagined, Bri has shown so much faith, determination, and hope. Even when all of struggle with the setbacks and wish nothing but for steps forward and for her to be healed, Bri shows us her positivity and strength. God has blessed us with one amazing woman and we are forever grateful. We love you so much Bri!
