Hi all,

We realize it has been a long while since our last update. We are happy to report that things are still going well and we are able to stay busy outside of Brent's treatments. Brent and Danielle sit down every week saying we need to do an update and end up getting sidetracked. We apologize for how long this has been to come out but we are very thankful to everyone who is so invested in Brent's journey. 

Let's travel back in time together:

Brent had a CT scan on February 28th. The results showed that most of the lesions have decreased, including the 2 abdominal lymph node.  His cancer antigen level remains in the normal range at 26 (normal is 0-35).   His Oncologist was very pleased with these results and gave Brent and Dawn a high five!

On May 8th, Brent had another scan. This scan showed no new growth, and no reductions.  His oncologist said that he appears to be stable at this time, meaning no significant changes either way. If he continues at this level the plan could be he continues on this current treatment for at least 2 more months, then possibly go on a maintenance chemo regimen. What that looks like? We don’t know yet. As we’ve seen in the past, things change all the time.  

So, right now Brent continues on his every other week chemo therapy.  He likes this regimen as it gives him just a few days of feeling bad and tired, then has a good week and a half of feeling good, and energy coming back.  He’s even gotten to ride his motorcycle to work a couple of times. Brent is also able to contribute to normal activities and chores around the house, just ask him about his new lawnmower!
