Sitting here with mama waiting for rounds to start, but walked into great news from her amazing nurse. Moms been on room air all night, her stats never dropped below 96%. She’s currently resting peacefully, but when Alyssa came on this morning mom was wide awake and smiling at her. She is also considered a floor patient! 😮😬 this has been a long time coming, however she will remain in the ICU as long as she’s receiving the plasmapheresis bc she can’t have the central venous catheter on the floor.... but we know the end is in sight so we will take the awesome news!

Holy cow lots of changes going on the past couple days. Mamas getting ready to get her Plasmapheresis, afterwards she’s getting moved to the floor (same floor just being moved across the hall to the neurology unit RM 4154B). They are also talking about wanting to place a temporary G-tube (A gastrostomy tube (also called a G-tube) is a tube inserted through the abdomen that delivers nutrition directly to the stomach.) so that they can remove the NG tube and can get her out and into a Rehab facility quicker. Lots of positivity, but another scary hurdle. As always lots of prayers 🙏🏼🙏🏼 they are appreciated.
