Newest Update

Journal entry by Brenda Milota

I just realized it’s been 3 months since I updated this site. Time does fly by the older you get! 🤪 I completed 5 weeks of radiation on 2/4/22.

I managed to get away to Texas end of Feb for much needed hugs from all my Texas Family!!  Weather was great but company even better, miss y’all every day!!

At my 4 week follow up MD said my skin looked amazing with just some tightness and soreness around scar tissue areas. He referred me back to PT for painful but much needed massage therapy.  Plastic surgeon follow up was good too!  She was very impressed with my skin and how soft the implant is after radiation. She said sometimes they become hardened and end up higher in the chest, oh boy!  Maintenance infusions will be done 4/27 then port removal 5/18.  We are so close!!

We took the boys to indoor water park for a couple nights last week for spring break. I put my suit on, went down 3 slides, then Chad and I sat in adults only hot tub with a cocktail!!  Starting to feel normal again and looking forward to baseball season and summer!!!!  Thank you all for your continued prayers, thoughts, and support. Y’all are AMAZING!!

Love You!!
