Brenda’s Story

My journal plans are going to have a different tact. I would like to share my gratitude to God and all the angel and saints whom have impacted and supported me on this journey.  First I am not trying to exclude anyone. Every person in my life has provided me with miracles of God's presence and love and grace.  But I would like to pick a few and share them.
We had to give up our dog Pepper I just couldn't care for her the way I wanted to anymore.  So short version is I mentioned to Pastor Dan on a Thursday need prayers to find Pepper a safe home. Friday morning, his day off, he calls says maybe found someone interested but a few questions.  Ended call, if need more info fell free to call again. Little later another call would like to meet, set up for 1pm that day.  Well he arrived with wife Dee and adopted our Pepper.  I felt like a thousand pounds of relief for the safety and care of Pepper.
God was moving through that whole process with me.
Another event was the care I was getting from oncologist Dr Alton Hallam and with Dr Jennifer Hallam.  Their level of care and communication for me was outstanding. Extreme quick response from them and staff member Camille to questions and sharing of my test results.  Dr Hallam's returned from a very needed vacation I'm sure. Managed to get me in for visit 2 days of extreme business for them.  Immediately into hospital running tests constantly communicating and visits. Getting necessary Dr's involved for diagnose and treatment plans.  God again was working with them to provide for me what I needed most.
My one radiology technician Lisa also stepped up adding extra ultrasound she felt needed to be done, again taking care of my anxiety and care with more information under God's guidance.
Miranda was a patient care nurse in the hospital that was outstanding for me in support and help while under her care. Going out of her way for me. God again placed her there when I needed her.
Jackie was another patient care nurse that God connected to me.  She connected with my soul immediately and her care and support were amazing. She even changed her schedule one night to be in my room under her care. Again God used her to provide what I needed.
My CT and MRI techs also got me through these tests efficiently,  quickly and humor all the time.  God also placed them there for my strength I needed.
Another vision of God has been  Kathie Johnson, taking her time to set up this easy method of communication for us and all these people so important in our lives, walking with us on the journey.
Than their is Jim my greatest love and supporter, healthy or not. Too much God activity there to pin point a situation.  Jim is just always there for me as God is there for all of us.
In conclusion for now I want to thank all these people and those not mentioned at this time that I have seen God working through each and every one of them for my benefit hundreds of times over.
I had a friend tell me God never gave her more than she could handle,  this statement has always stayed with me and I know beyond a doubt this is true.  So people want to know what they can do for me. All I need is PRAYER.  That is my best healer and I promise all of you he is responding.  So I want you all to know God is out there listening and there are results. I am sure you have wondered if helps. Absolutely without a  doubt it does and has.

Journal entry by Jim & Brenda Meissner

Hi everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know again that Brenda's Celebration of Life will be held on March 9th at 2PM Mountain time. The service will be Zoomed and you can join on the Mount Zion website. www.mountzionelca.com There is a link to the service on the web page. It won't work until that day, but it is there.

I am doing as well as can be expected. This is definitely the hardest thing I have ever been through in my life. I miss her so much! I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers. We couldn't have gotten through this without all of you. I have also been blessed to have family in Tucson and super wonderful friends.

I also wanted you to know that I will be singing a song I wrote for Brenda over 40 years ago. No, I will not be singing it live. I recorded it some time ago. Brenda's only wish for this celebration was that this song be played.

Thanks to all of you who continue to pray for and support me. With luck I might see some of you this summer.

All my love
Jim
