Journal entry by Sarah Bailey —
Brandon's two week appointment was yesterday in Denver. We started out with a 3 1/2 hour delay of our flight leaving MT and missing Brandon's first appointment. Luckily, the flight happened and we made it to Denver in time for his neurosurgical appointment which went fantastic. His blood draw showed that his sodium levels were great so he was taken off fluid restrictions, hooray!! Everything else is looking good as well so we are super grateful. We had some time before our flight left so we went to lunch. As we were getting ready to leave for the airport, we got a text letting us know that our flight home to Bozeman was canceled....we were planning on a 'to Denver and home again sort of day' so we didn't have anything with us but my purse and his wallet. They tried sending us to Great Falls so we could at least make it to MT but that flight got canceled as well. At a complete loss, we got a hold of our friends in Fort Collins and they saved the day with an offer of a vehicle to drive home with! FYI car rental companies in Denver aren't willing to rent when you are dropping off in Bozeman! Needless to say, we got some much cherished, blessed time with our friends, a good night's sleep, and the ability to make it home before the lack of medicine became a problem. My dad had to pick up our kids from camp, which was a super big help, but we all made it home safe and sound.
God is good!! We got bonus time with our friends after finding out Brandon is healing well, and our kids had a week at camp where they made new friends and filled their souls.
Thank you for all the prayers and support, we are so grateful and humbled. You guys are amazing!
