Journal entry by Michelle Distel

We hope that everyone had a great Christmas.

Pat's surgery went very well.  She went home much sooner than we expected and is able to get around as she did before.

Brad is continuing his recovery.  We are happy that some of his medical issues have improved, however, he can be in a lot of pain sometimes--mostly back pain and pain due to a broken hand. Some days he is really sleepy and doesn't interact much.  On other days he can visit with us for an hour or so.  He might talk with us about his favorite movie and tell you the names of the actors (all initiated by us) yet in the same conversation he will tell you something that we know didn't happen or doesn't make sense.  Every day is a little different.  He will continue to work with PT and OT and we will hope for progress in the weeks ahead.

We continue to appreciate all of you!
