Brad’s Story

Site created on August 6, 2018

Brad Moon was in an accident in North Kansas City on August 4, 2018.  He had just bought a scooter, to get around town. Turning on to N. Oak, his rear wheel hit a slick spot, and his momentum pushed him directly into oncoming traffic.   It was the equivalent of a 50+mph head-on collision. He is currently in the hospital with extremely serious injuries - they have to keep him sedated half the time. He will need multiple corrective surgeries, and it will be a long long road to recovery. He is lucky to have survived the impact.

Journal entry by Michael Keller

Hi Folks,

Brad is doing much better, and have to agree with the beard...  becoming a true Grizzly Adams! :)

A couple of notes of upcoming visits:

He informed me that he will be having another minor surgery at the Hospital on Wed, Oct 10th, and recovering the 11th and 12th, so refrain from visiting at that time, because he will most likely not be at the Rehab Facility.

He has finally solidifed on a daily routine: He normally eats Breakfast around 8:00pm, Lunch around 12:00noon and Dinner around 6:00pm, so those are times when he is occupied, usually at the cafeteria.  So best to visit in-between those times, approximately an hour after.

He wanted me to make sure that everyone knows he is very grateful and thankful for all the prayers and thoughts.
