Journal entry by Tiffany Givens —
A year ago this week, Brad was given a diagnosis of stage IV non-Hodgkins lymphoma with 4 out of 5 poor prognostic factors. This past year was filled with radiation, chemotherapy, dialysis, hospital stays, pain, and uncertainty. We were loved on by family and friends, lifted up and prayed for by our church family, and supported by our whole community. We have been continually blown away by the love showered on us. We cannot say thank you enough for all the ways you have been there for us.
God has been so faithful throughout. He has given us hope through Christ and peace through even the most difficult circumstances.
Today, Brad had his third PET scan with no new growth or recurrence. This means he remains in remission. He will not be considered “cured” until he has 2 years of clean scans, but today we are praising God for answered prayers and the breath of life given to us.
Hug your loved ones tight and tell them you love them every chance you get! Give your life to Christ if you have not, He loves you so.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
