Journal entry by Rachel Barber —
On Saturday we celebrated the brief life of our beautiful daughter Emma, our little hero.
Thank you Crossroads Community Church for the support and for allowing us to gather. Thank you Pastor Gabe for all the prayers and support as we put together Emma's celebration. Thank you Acorn & The Oak for our beautiful flowers and kind words. Thank you Anni Furniss for the amazing memorial painting. Thank you Angela Hodges for reaching out to provide food for our family after the memorial and Rachel Barber for hosting.
We want to thank everyone for their continued love and prayers during this difficult time. Please reach out. We would love to hear from you and share more of our Emma with everyone.
We have big plans to hold a summer celebration to honor all the amazing healers at Randall's and everyone who has supported us. We also have big plans for Emma's Day, every year on her birthday, January 31st.
We will periodically update the Caring Bridge site, however, we are transitioning to launch Dear Emma, a blog site to not only share our story of Emma but also the days, months, and years after as we learn to cope and move forward. We hope to provide resources for others who may have to walk this difficult path. If you would like to follow, the web page is dearemmae.com
