Brad’s Story

Site created on May 4, 2019

In December Brad started noticing pain and muscle spasms in his torso area around his lower ribs.  It would be on the right side for awhile then the left.  Sometimes the pain would move to his back.  He went to his doctor and was given some muscle relaxers.  After trying these for a while without much improvement he went to a chiropractor.  He did have some curvature in his spine, but again the pain didn’t get any better only continued to get worse.  The Chiropractor encouraged him to get some testing done or see specialist.  He made an appointment for a specialist but before the appointment there was a day the pain was so bad he couldn’t walk without help so he asked the doctor to order an MRI.  The results of the MRI showed lesions on his bones.  Not at all the news we were expecting.   In the next couple weeks more testing was done and he was diagnosed with cancer called Adenocarcinoma of the lung.  The testing showed he has a small nodule in one lung with most of the disease having spread to his bones which is causing all the pain.
