Bo’s Story

On Wednesday, February 3 Bobby was involved in a serious ski accident. After being separated from his friends he was found unconscious and transported by ski patrol to the nearest facility to receive critical treatment. He has since been stabilized and transported to Denver. He’s suffered a few different injuries, the most serious of which being brain trauma and a collapsed lung. Doctors are currently completing tests to clarify what the long term prognosis looks like.

In the meantime, Mika and Ollie are now in Denver, alongside Mr. and Mrs. Tunberg. Enok is in KC with Mika's family. We want to support them in any and all ways possible. First and foremost, please pray for Bobby’s complete recovery (1 John 5:14-15). Pray for Mika as she endures this grief, and for sweet Ollie and Enok as well. There is also an option to give in such a way to alleviate the unforeseen expenses that are undoubtedly coming their way.

As updates become available, we will post them here on this site. If you are here, I'm sure Bobby and Mika are as dear to your hearts as they are to mine. They are now in a situation that was previously unthinkable, and our deepest heart is to reflect back to them the very beauty, love, and care they have both made trademarks of their lives.

Above all, find hope and participate in Hebrews 4:16 which says, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

Newest Update

Journal entry by Erik Most

Hey everyone! Bobby (not me or Mika!) wanted to take a moment to update everyone :)

Guys, this is Bo. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate all of you who are praying, who are following the story, and who have given to my cause. My goodness, we feel loved.

It is truly by prayer that I have experienced healing while I have been at the hospital in Denver and while I have been home. Glad to say that I have been home in KC for the past two weeks, and things are going well here, just recovering here at home.

I will be going to therapy and rehab starting today in Kansas City. Continued prayer for healing and recovery there would be great.  I am home and glad to be out of the hospital in Denver, although I do not remember the accident or the two to three weeks after.

We had an amazing staff at St Anthony’s and we are so thankful. Currently I’m mainly still dealing with ribs healing, along with my lungs, and also feeling a little slow at the moment cognitively. Hoping and praying that all of these things will heal well in time.

Overall, as I had said, I cannot express how loved and cared for we feel, thank you so much for all of the prayer, following the story, and all that you have done. It’s from a very dark place that I have come, or so I have heard, and I so appreciate the prayer over me. Thank you to all of you who have read, and prayed, and taken time each day to think of me and my family.
