It has been a month since we received Boston’s MRI results. I have been reminding myself all month that what this may be hard on Zack and I, but it is so much harder on our Bos Man. My heart breaks that his life will be harder than so many others but he is so strong. He has such a light and determination to his whole being.
We have an amazing case coordinator and have biweekly home visits with a physical therapist and occupational therapist. Currently we are just working on stretches for Boston’s left leg and exercises on strengthening his trunk area, with the PT. The PT is very impressed with the range of motion Boston currently has. We will be getting fitted for a leg brace in a month or two. Our next step is getting Boston to crawl on all fours. He has army crawling down and has start to push up on all fours more often which is a great sign. The OT is focusing on feedings right now, since Boston failed his swallow test last month. That part has been extremely slow and will be for awhile. The OT is also focused on Boston’s left arm. Our goal is to get it to the point of being a helper. (Holding a paper while he writes, etc.)
