Bonnie’s Story

Site created on August 27, 2019

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Bonnie was sadly diagnosed with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma this spring. Amazingly, the cancer was caught early and the tumor is a single tumor and operative, so the treatment plan has been to shrink the tumor with chemotherapy and then surgically remove it. Bonnie had several months of chemo this spring. After a scan in June, it was decided to do another round of chemo that would run through September. She has had some secondary complications from the chemo - nausea, low platelets and blood clots, which are being treated and monitored.

We have set up a meal train to help Bonnie, Ned and Auggie have some home cooked meals. Nicky lives in NYC, Freddie just moved to teacher housing at Brunswick School in Greenwich, so she is close by, and Corey is working in Washington, DC, this summer/fall for the U.S. Naval Research Lab. The Meal Train sign-up is at: https://mealtrain.com/8yy18n
