Hi all!
Dad had a couple of issues after his bypass surgery and was kept 3 extra days.
He went into a-fib (increased heart rate) 3 times since his surgery (roughly every 2 days). The doctors said this happens to about 1/3 patients after bypass surgery and patients can experience a-fib for around 30-90 days and dad's heart rate goes to around the 150's! They've given him medication to bring his heart rate down each time but there's an obvious concern for home care.
The solution to this was to fit my dad with a custom defibrillator vest that must be worn 24/7 while at home. Once they brought in the specialists to issue him a vest, he was discharged yesterday (Wednesday October 21st).
He's been doing good and would love texts, calls, and love :)
Love you all!
