ICU, on a ventilator, strong heart, monitoring brain for responsiveness.
He woke up yesterday morning at 6:20 am. Found by a yard maintenance worker outside lying on the driveway face up at 7:30 with back of head bleeding, unconscious, not breathing, heart stopped; he called ambulance and began CPR.
Tests yesterday: not a heart attack, not a stroke no change in responsiveness. MRI does not show damage physically to the brain. Functional may be impacted by how long he was without oxygen on the driveway.
Today, still in ICU, removing sedation to see how his brain responds. I’ll post an update as we know more.
Stephanie (Bob’s daughter is here from Dallas), Leone and Micah his daughter and son and me, Ellen.
He is at Skyridge. No visitors please. It’s already crowded with only 2 allowed in ICU at a time.
