Journal entry by Bob Redman

Bob got transferred to a regular room at 3 pm yesterday. I went to leave at 7 pm last night and kissed him on the forehead. I don't normally do that and I followed my gut. He felt warm and I went to get his nurse (at shift change). He had a pretty high fever which is not uncommon after surgery. I didn't feel comfortable leaving. The nurse was amazing and allowed me to stay overnight.  His fever broke at midnight. He is resting alot and trying to remain still. They plan to get him up and moving today though. I am waiting for rounds and then will check into the doorways. Thanks for all of the love and support!
