Robert James age 72

Died peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on October 9th, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Dorothy (Tobisch) Metry.  He is survived by his wife of 35 years Alesia (Wescott) children Lauren (Ryan) Ebert, Thomas (Brittany), Maria (Cooper) Hageman, 4 grandchildren, brother Tom Metry, and favorite cousin Pat Nowland.  Bob served in the United States Air Force and worked for the Minnesota State Patrol/Capital Security Division for over 35 years.  He was an avid animal lover and hockey fan especially of Hill-Murray High School and the Minnesota Wild.  Funeral service will be held Monday, October 16th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Summit and Lexington in Saint Paul.  Visitation at 9 AM and funeral mass at 10:30 AM.  Private interment at Fort Snelling.  Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers; please send to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any animal rescue.
