Journal entry by Rebekah White —
Hello Everyone!
Our dad had a recent visit with our sister, Jennifer and her son, Logan (grandson) last Sunday. She brought delicious homemade eclairs from the Terry Deleo family. Rumor has it it they were delicious!
Dad got to take a break from his chemo this week but will resume next week. Unfortunately most of his symptoms have not improved. Recently I've been struggling to understand where Christ is in all of this. It is hard to see someone you love suffer. The other day while I was in the kitchen cooking I felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit reminding me of the verse in Thessalonians. ..."Pray without ceasing." When Paul was encouraging the people he knew they would need this reminder. Even in suffering we must remain hopeful. We pray no matter what. Through the suffering, pain, moments of joy, moments of sorrow, confusion, anger. Never stop.
So for those of you who pray, pray without ceasing for my dad. Pray repeatedly and pray often.
Love,
Rebekah
