Journal

On Monday September 28, 2020, Robert A. “Bob” Lehrbaum, 58, of Pompano Beach, Florida, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada on May 5, 1962, he leaves behind his loving wife of 31 years, Jane Horne Lehrbaum, and his beloved son, Daniel Robert of West Palm Beach. He is survived by his parents, Andrew and Kathleen Lehrbaum, of Pompano Beach; his sisters Jacqueline Walsh (John) Boca Raton, FL and  Betty Anne Wade (Kurt), Phoenix, AZ. Also continuing on are his parents-in-law James R. (Bobby) and Carolyn Horne of Suffolk, VA and sister-in-law Karen Severs (Mike), of High Point, NC along with many nieces and nephews and their families.

Bob moved to South Florida in 1970. In 1983 he met his beloved Jane at Chowan College in Murfreesboro, NC. He has lived in Suffolk, VA, Thomasville, NC and returned to South Florida in 2015.

Bob's time in Thomasville included working at Brasscraft Manufacturing and was highlighted by his active service at RichFork Baptist Church.  While there, he was involved in the music and drama ministry and portrayed Jesus in the Easter performance on a couple occasions.

Most recently Bob has been employed as the Plant Electrician at Stimpson Co., in Pompano Beach, where he was loved by many. Bob’s greatest love was Jesus, and because of that he loved others so well. Along with his family, many friends, coworkers, and neighbors will grieve his loss.

A Celebration of his life will be on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale, 2101 W Cypress Creek Road, 33309 at 10:00 am.

As much as we would like to be in one place together to celebrate Bob’s life, because of COVID, attendance will be limited. In order to make this time as available as possible to those who have safety concerns, and to allow for adequate social distancing, the Calvary Chapel will provide a live stream of the service. CalvaryFTL.org/memorial We encourage and understand the use of this accommodation for any and all who wish to attend virtually. For those who may like to share a memory of, or a word about Bob with his family, a memorial email has been set up: BobLehrbaumLovesJesus@gmail.com

Bob’s passion was that everyone would know the love of Jesus and his heart was pulled toward the International Justice Mission for their work. If a memorial gift is desired, it can be made through IJM.org.
