Newest Update

Journal entry by Jennifer Beaver

It has been awhile since an update. With Bob home, the kids back in school, and my return to work, we have had a lot going on.

Bob has done well since coming home. He’s extremely tired most days and has limits to what he can do. His 30-day checkup went well and his blood counts are back to normal. However, he still has a way to go before feeling better and things get totally back to normal.  He was told 90-days until his energy level starts to reach a good level and it will be February before he can have a medium cooked steak or over-easy eggs!

Since Bob still has no immunities and cannot get his vaccinations until February, our family has the task of keeping everyone in our home healthy this flu season!  Although Bob can venture out with taking certain precautions, as the flu season ramps up those times will become more limited. We ask that if you plan to visit us or invite us to visit you over the holidays, be prepared for “silly” questions about how you and those in your home have been feeling.

Our family is appreciative of the support we’ve received and we will continue to move forward with caution and lots of hand sanitizer!
