Newest Update

Journal entry by Blaine Bailey

Family and Friends -

My sincere apology for my lack of updating - but here goes:

Many things have happened since the end of June, including a "custom" chemo combo FDA approved specifically for Blaine, Kidney Stone Surgery,  Shunt placement to drain cerebrospinal fluid into his abdomen, Chemo and Immunotherapy combo, 6 fractured ribs and punctured lung due to a fall in October, MRI's, CT Scans,....and the many follow up visits with Doctors.

The summer was amazing with many days  of boating, a bit of stand up jet ski time, celebrating Charlie Jo's 21st birthday, impromptu gatherings in the garage, afternoons on Hanson's beach, Sunday FunDays, and an amazing birthday bash at the Cooper's with Hitchville playing to really help celebrate!!!

Blaine rolled into fall having all of his kids living under one roof💯, hosting Thursday Night League in the newly styled garage (with the addition of a heater installed by amazing friends to ensure gatherings well into the cold winter months), married October 10 at the Anderson's beautiful property where we hold many beautiful memories-which also meant the addition of three daughters (like it or not😉) MacKenzie, Madison, and Macey, annual MEA trip to the family cabin... this just to name a few.

Boe, Charlie Jo, Billy, and Ben are truly amazing young adults - charting this course with strength  and showering their Dad in the love they have for him.  Blaine is very proud of each of them-for good reason.

November 6 MRI brought a diagnosis of Leptomeningeal (cancer of the cerebrospinal fluid).  Not the news we were wanting to hear, but have always known this disease would progress and it has💔.

We are keeping Hope alive.  Hope for more days of happy times with all of us together.  Hope for comfort.  These are things we can control, and will make them happen.

Wishing all of you a beautiful Thanksgiving, however you may be celebrating.

Make Every Day.  Your Best Day. EVER.

XO,

Z
