Journal entry by Dustin Bohn —
Hello friends and family. I have a bit of unfortunate news. On Sunday afternoon Bill was displaying some signs of regression which ultimately resulted in him suffering a significant seizure. He is currently back at HCMC and intubated in the MICU. As of now, he is stable and brain imaging is showing no signs of active bleeding or concerns for immediate surgery.
This is hopeful, considering the extent of his previous brain and facial injuries. Bill’s medical team is confident there will be a positive recovery and he can be weaned off of the ventilator and back to breathing on his own within the next few days or week. Seizures are certainly not uncommon with the type of injury Bill sustained but it’s difficult for doctors to say if he will continue to suffer from them or not.
Let us all remain hopeful! Thoughts and prayers are once again welcomed as Bill and his family take on this new hurdle. -DB
