Welcome to Bill Roberts’ Caring Bridge

We are using this page to streamline communication from Kaari about Bill’s battle with brain cancer along with ways to help and support the family.

Bill, Kaari, Liam and Meile are incredibly grateful for the support the community has given them and know that it is with all of this love that they will be able to get through this immensely difficult time.

Hello faithful friends,

Sending you lots of love and gratitude with this final caring bridge post.

We feel blessed to have connected and/or met many of you that these messages have reached over the past year.  And what a year it has been.  We reiterate the deep gratitude we feel as a part of the community of BIG LOVE that prayed, supported, fed, walked, carried, wept, laughed, danced, and finally honored Billy on Saturday.  We are forever changed and will always strive to love others as well as Bill did.

We will continue the meal train through February (maybe March) as Kaari returns to work, including out-of-town trips.  Liam will remain home for a few weeks so they can begin to heal together and find their new normal.  We know it will not be easy but the meals, smiles, hugs, and texts will go a long way.

A message from Kaari:

I hope there is enough time in my life to let all of you know how much we appreciate you. Saturday was a beautiful day and I was overwhelmed with emotion to see the church so full. BIG  LOVE was everywhere. Please keep telling us stories about Bill and keeping his memory alive. We will never ever get tired of it.
Billy Roberts was so happy looking down on us…. Gorgeous smile on his face and blue eyes twinkling.
All our love, Kaari, Liam and Meile

Finally,

Someone sent us this beautiful quote as we drove away from church on Saturday and it struck deeply:

"When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,

and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight." - Khalil Gibron

Thank you, Billy,  you were indeed a delight.

Until we fish again.....
