Billie continues to improve, what feels like, minute by minute. Her swallowing has improved greatly in the last 24 hours. Her voice still isn’t back to normal but they assure me it will just take time. Her breathing is almost completely cleared up (just a little congestion as night but she’s able to clear it up).
Today we flew home. Billie was excited to get home, saying she missed Calvin. She was thrilled to be surprised by her best friend Annie at the airport. She was surprised again by a very kind and generous welcome home from her Daisy troop. And a fun surprise on her bedroom door decorated by Annie’s mom (with Annie’s help with the artwork, of course).
It’s good to be home. Our hearts are full. We can’t thank everyone enough for all their help and love.
