Update on Bill...

Thank you to everyone who has called Dad to check in on him. In the past two weeks lots has happened.

The week of 4th of July, Dad stayed at N C Little in Edina for a respite stay as we moved. He was incredibly well taken care of by the caring nurses there. He gave them a run for their money and was his charming and joking self. He spent 5 days in their care. Due to Covid, only 2 people could be designated to visit inside. We feel grateful that they allowed any visitors at all. Dad had visits from Scott, Jeff, Aiden and Aaron outside on the porch of N C Little during the week. Along with calls from friends and family.

Dad returned home last Friday and was happy to finally be settled once again. He even enjoyed a beer! Ok, 1/2 a beer. 😉 He was very alert and wore himself out. The following 2 days he rested. Spurts of excitement have kept him wanting to be a part of the action. It has been nice to see a part of his light shine during these brief moments. Over that weekend he also had visits from Mary, Scott, Todd, Val, Tye, Kayce and Michael. So much love!

This week, Dad has visits from Jeff, Scott, Mary, Uncle Jim (Dads brother)Aunt Kathy, Justine (Dad’s niece), Uncle Mike (Moms brother), Aunt Gloria, and his grandchildren: Tye, Kayce and Tarisa. He had a very social Saturday that truly wore him out. He has loved hearing from Mom, us kids, his grandchildren, and son-in-law, just how much they love him and appreciate all he has done for them.

Today we changed Dad’s voicemail on his cell phone. He is unable to talk anymore. He is no longer walking with his walker. Lots is changing quickly. He is looking forward to beginning his journey to see his Heavenly Father and meet his step-daughter Shawn at the pearly gates.

We will continue to update you on how Dad is doing. We thank everyone for their prayers, love and support. ❤️
