Journal entry by Sheri Feeney

Graduation day!  6 weeks of treatment completed, daily radiation (Monday - Friday) and 7 day a week chemo.  We cannot say enough great things  about Swedish Cancer Institute!  We have had the best experience and the entire team is so caring.

Bill did incredibly well with both types of treatment.  He only experienced nausea a few times, and each instance was because he pushed his level of activity too far.  Each experience also followed boating, specifically because he bent over and moved something too heavy.  He was told not to do that very thing, but I am 100% sure his stubborn nature is a blessing and a curse in his current situation.

So, now he can relax a bit.  He is being told to sleep a lot but he actually isn’t very tired.  Maybe an afternoon nap on occasion is all he has needed.

Bill says he is excited not to eat on a schedule (part of taking daily chemo) and he won’t miss the timer going off on my phone all the time (medication reminders).

Our guy is tough, has a great attitude, and he leans on his faith each day.  Thank you all for the support and the prayer.  We are grateful!

Much Love,
Bill and Sheri
