Bill’s Story

Site created on August 30, 2023

Bill suffered a hemorrhagic stroke on the right side of his brain on the morning of August 26th. He had an EVD (external ventricular drain) placed in his brain to help with ICP (inter-cranial pressure) and to monitor ICP. It was removed on September 19th. He spent from August 26th- September 22nd in the ICU. On September 22nd he was Transferred to Bethesdas Fairview for rehab.

Almost 2 weeks after being at Bethesda, Bill fell very ill. They transferred him to Regions emergency. It took a week and a half to find out the ventricles in his brain were swelling with cerebral spinal fluid. They put another EVD in and then about 6 days after put in a shunt. He spent some time at regency hospital and now is FINALLY in a rigorous PT program at Regions to get him home!

God is good everyday and He has a plan. He knew Bill was not done yet and has so much more to live!
