Bexlee’s Story

Site created on May 11, 2023

Welcome to Bexlee's Caring Bridge site.  We have had a beautiful outpouring of love and support via calls and messages.  We apologize if we haven't responded and figured this would be an easier way to keep everyone in the loop.  Please bear with my typos and rants as we are quite sleep deprived.  Thanks for coming and checking in on our sweet baby Bex.

How it's going

We are on day 3 of being home and all is well with baby Bex! She is so happy to be back home and adores all the attention she is getting from her sisters.

I on the other hand am frantically trying to catch up on cleaning, laundry, and sleep.    Summer vacation all of a sudden happened so we are trying to adjust to a new routine in a gentle way that still allows for baby Bex to rest and heal up, which is proving to be tricky.  We got home Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning we had to get up early and head to the Jamestown  Art Center for Ruby and Pippa's play auditions the next day.   The IV antibiotics have ended, but the rest of life doesn't slow down.

Tyler is working long hours due to his busy spring work schedule.  Thankfully we have been able to stop down and visit him here and there, but I know he is dying to spend a full day with all of his girls home (and awake).

THANK YOU

I can't thank all of you enough for your continued support, prayers, visits, and gifts.  I wish I had the time and energy to send each and every one of you a handwritten & heartfelt thank-you note. Please know how much we appreciate all of you.

Bexlee is such a fighter!  We can't believe how she powered through this life-threatening illness and is now home with the instructions of rest and Motrin as needed.  We know her recovery has so much to do with all of the prayers and healing vibes sent her way.  We love you all!!
