Bev’s Story

Site created on September 16, 2021

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

As some of you may already know our Sweet Momma, Bev Rhea, suffered a severe stroke last week that was caused by a Cancerous Brain tumor. She is recovering from the stroke as we speak, then we can focus on treatment for the tumor. We know we serve a Mighty God and he has his hand on all of this. Please pray for Mom and us as we start this fight taking it one day at a time. We can already feel all of your prayers and we appreciate them so much!

This week she made lots of progress. 🙌🏻 Her speech is better and is eating and drinking on her own. Yesterday she made it to the Physical Therapy floor! She will start her days early and will be working to gain some more mobility back. Mom is tough and a fighter. She has consistently kept her sweet and positive attitude! The nursing staff adores her. Which comes as no surprise to us! 😉

We have been overwhelmed with the amount of people jumping in to serve our family at this time. We feel so supported and loved by people near and far! Thank you all for the prayers. Keep them coming! We have a long road ahead of us. We know God is moving in big ways. Pray for her “day to day” and for the weeks ahead as we get closer to the next battle. Our motto has been and always will be, one day at a time. My dad keeps telling us kids “Don’t let the fear of tomorrow, steal the blessings of today!”

We know many of you want to send mom well wishes. It seems like she is moving rooms a lot so if you want to send her a card we can get it to her. Send it to:

We have a big tradition of making Resurrection Rolls! One of her favorite traditions! ❤️ She’s a great teacher and is so intentional in her approach with sharing Jesus with Ethan and Eli.
