Day 37: Happy Thanksgiving! Today is a quiet one for me as the kids are coming home Friday night for turkey at Kate's on Saturday. All this week I've counted the many blessings showered on me this year. First I am happy to be here! Alive and recovering with prayers for a long and healthy outcome.  I sometimes forget how God provides for our every need. JC promised to never leave my side, or yours,  and that is shown so often!  I am overwhelmed at times at how He sends people into your life, sometimes for a short while, sometimes for long lasting..new friends and old friends, family, and sometimes just a short encounter.  Today I especially thank God for this.
I have a renewed and heightened respect for nurses and doctors. The dedication and care I've received from the hospitals, SF..GF..Mayo/Methodist, has truly been remarkable. I've learned so much and am thankful of their expertise and kindness.
I have the best family and friends...thankful for my sisters, brothers, et al, cousins, friends, and  of course my kids.  Sister Georgine for getting a caregiver schedule set in place, being a caregiver herself along with sisters Coreen, Connie, Trisha, Jean (more of a sister than sister in law); cousins Sue, Nancy, Jane; band family Lilly and Jean (including Gene and Kenny); friends Joyce, Paulette, Luanne, Kathy, Jackie and Julie; brothers Don and Craig and families; neighbors Dick/Elaine, Naomi/Myra; Jerry/Kathy.
It's been a long haul this year starting in March so I hope I haven't left a anyone out! All of you came when I needed you, rearranging your schedules to care for me, taking me to chemo, checking in with me, taking care of the garden and lawn, watching the house etc, and just showing true friendship and love. Some of you experienced the worst days and stayed by my side for all of it.
For all this I thank God for you and will be eternally grateful♡♡
And to all of you who sent cards, messages, gifts, food, or phone calls, donated sick leave....you have no idea how much it gave me strength to carry on, to keep or renew a positive attitude, made me smile, made me cry good tears!
And the power of prayer....need I say more, there are no words to fit the depth  of Thanksgiving I have.
Okay, enough with the mushy sentiments, but really it is heartfelt.
I am doing well I believe, getting stronger each week but have to really watch where, when, how I go anywhere outta my home...risk of infection is still very high while my immune system rebuilds. My 100 day review at Mayo Methodist is scheduled for Jan 23-24. I am hoping for good reports from all the lab works and organ functions at that time. Until then I hope the county will let me back doing my job ASAP so I can get caught up and back on schedule, back to being normal by my checkup date!
😊 Doc says that if anyone wants to visit me, please call first to see if it's a good time and then to answer the questions I have concerning Your health😷to determine if you can visit me in person...otherwise I do love the phone calls too!!

Keep me in your prayers....love to you all🤗
